Hi im fridging my axolotl at the moment and have read the guide about returning to tank.
How do you climatise them back to tank water and temp in the guide it doesnt say how long between water changes etc so im a bit confused. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'd say either drip acclimation or just sitting the tub out of the fridge (with a covering so the axie doesn't jump out) until it reaches tank temp. With the latter I would also add some tank water to the tub once it's reached the correct temp, then after a little time place the axie in the tank:)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
