Ribbed newts ate duckweed

My ribbed newts seem to ingested alot of duckweed and now are floating. will the duckweed pass and will they not float anymore? they arent bloated look fine just floating cause of duckweed maybe

They will be fine ,I have seen newts passing large strands of moss before

This is true cyclone, i've seem lots of sand before too!

Did they purposefully eat the plants or were they ingested accidentally while trying to capture prey?

they are all better now! i think my duck weed grew crazy and was so thick that when swimming to get a gulp of air the ingested the duckweed. so i took all of the duck weed out of their tank. thanks for the response
