I am about to make my first pond it will be somewhere between 15-25' x 40-50'. It will have koi in it. Ive read that Frogs do not typically exist well with Turtles. I have seen examples of no problems however. I was wondering about Salamanders &/or Newts co-existing with Koi & Turtles? Frogs too. How high would i need fencing to keep them in?

Thx from a Newbie!

Newts always tend to pools and puddles without fish, mainly because most fish will see the newts, and their offspring, as a welcome snack.
If you'd want to facilitate an area in your pond where newts might breed, I'd suggest creating a shallow area where the fish can't get to, with lot's of plants for the newts to hide. Make sure there isn't a strong current in this part of the pond.
Besides that, the plants in this part will act as a natural filter.

Thats kind of what i was thinking...Thank you
