Salt Bath duration

Hey guys, not sure if my other post went through but oh well, apologies if it did.
I've got a sick axie on my hands,I have two axies and a feeder fish that has lived for a long time.
The feeder started harassing Nubz(axie) recently and biting his gills(the fish is probably acting like this due to lack of algae since it's summer and I clean the tank a lot more,he's a very hungry fish I think if I buy some type of fish food that would solve that problem as he's never been interested before)
But I took the fish out of the tank regardless.
Anyway Nubz' gills developed a fungal infection(or what I assume is one, white whispy?)
And I've been treating him with the routine salt bath twice daily.
However I'm unsure how long I'm supposed to do it for, there's obvious signs of improvement he's got new stalks growing but he's still fairly lethargic.
Just hoping you guys can give me some pointers on it.

No what I mean is..the overall duration(number of weeks etc..it would depend I know but when can you be sure?

i would say until the fungus goes away completely
be it days or weeks

Yes, continue until the fungus is gone. Do you happen to know what kind of fish it was?

Yeah it's tarp fish,he's grown up with them I put him a few others in there to age the tank before the axies arrived.
Took the other fish out but he seemed to get along with the axies so I kept him in and he grew from a feeder to a goldfish.
Only become a problem because lack of algae to eat etc.
I think Nubs got the infection from his gills being nibbled by him as I saw him actually harassing Nubs and saw that Nubs had developed white stuff on his gills plus having less there.
He's ok now but he's not eating and he's a bit bloated any hints on what to do about that?
