I was actually a member of this group perhaps 15 or so years ago. I first joined because I was keeping Axolotls but became fascinated by salamanders in general. I had the good fortune to live in the US Pacific Northwest then so pretty much everywhere was crawling with them. If I still lived there I could host some pretty fascinating tours depending on time of year. I'm now based in New Mexico but travel a great deal so I don't keep them in captivity anymore. I'm still interested, hunt for them, and take photo's across the US. I look forward to following this group again. Meanwhile, I've got some things that might be of interest to those who keep them. Specifically, I just listed my copy of Amphibian Medicine and Captive Husbandry on eBay for a really good price because I want it to go to someone who uses it. There have been no bids yet so I can pull the auction if anyone here would like it for $115.00 US. The 15 is for shipping. It's in virtually new condition and I once successfully treated an 1/2 inch abcess on a caecilian with nothing but this book to go by. I held onto it because even after I restricted myself to simple photography, I used to loan it to local vets from time to time. Vets in New Mexico just don't really need it. And it's a big book I don't see myself really needing again. Is anyone here interested?
