Seachem Equilibrium?

Is seachem equilibrium safe for axolotls? If so whats the right way to add it to the tank? My city has soft water- and I've noticed their gills always look healthiest after I give them salt baths, so I thought seachem equilibrium might be a good thing to add?

I know everyone suggests holtfreters solution but I dont understand how to make it- i dont have a lab, or lab equipment, and im not a chemist. Theres also no where to buy it that I've found.

Someone here asked about equilibrium before and the response was NEVER, but another person on Reddit said they use it and its safe?

although seachem equilibrium contains the minerals required by axolotls it is in the wrong quantities plus axolotls don't required additional iron.
equilibrium is aimed more towards planted tanks which is why potassium sulphate is the main ingredient and is high, also equilibrium doesn't contain salt.
if holtfreters is to difficult to make or get hold of then seachem replenish can be used although the salt level is on the low side it doesn't contain additional iron or large amounts of potassium.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
