I bought a small portion of bloodworms at the local pet store and inside were also some very small flat grey worms. Anyone know if these are a problem? I have been avoiding them at feeding time, should I be concerned?

Leeches and various species of planaria are extremely common in batches of black worms. The leeches can be a problem in large numbers. Neither is really anything to worry about unless you have very small larvae or tadpoles, or eggs in the tank.

Chances are you're buying blackworms and not bloodworms. I don't know of any place you can buy quantities of LIVE bloodworms in the US. And like Johnny said, blackworms often come with some blackworm-specific leeches, and the occasional planaria.
