I currently have 7 Red Spotted Eastern Newt Efts, which I keep in an aquarium with moss lining the bottom, and logs/pieces of bark arouns for them to hide under. It seems to be ok for them so far, but it isn't their natural habitat, as they were captured in the wild in the Catskill Mountains, where there is some patches of moss, but newts aren't found under it. I was wondering what a more suitable environment would be, and what kind of soil to use/where to get it. Thanks!
