Sexing my Axolotl

Hello,

So this little guy is a wild type. He's about 7 - 7.5 inches long right now and about 8 months old. Is it too early to determine a gender? Kind of hoping he's a male.

I am having a little trouble telling, could you tell me if there is a bulge behind the back legs? Each back leg would have a bulge behind it, if so a male!!! :)
