First, i wasn’t quite sure where to put this thread so i’m sorry if this is the wrong place. I’m going to be buying a pair of axie twins within a few weeks once they’re ready, I already have two other axolotls but i bought them both locally and have never had any animals shipped to me before. how should I go about acclimating the new babies once they arrive? I’ve seen so many differing opinions, some saying to get them out of the bag asap once it’s opened and some saying to drop water conditioner into the bag and some other methods. I really want to make sure I do this in a way that won’t harm the new babies and cause the least stress possible, what would be the best way for me to go about this?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
