I’ve been noticing that my axolotl gills aren’t as fluffy as before. I think is because of deoxygenated water, her tank is 22gallons (77 liters) and I have trouble Keeping a good enough air flow. I have only one air stone, and a canister filter.
How can I improve the oxygen in the tank?
She’s been eating well but spends a lot time at the surface.

My amonia, nitrite, and nitrate are at 0ppm my ph is about 7.
The tank is fully cycled for a very long time, I use only prime for conditioning the water nothing else.

Ok if your nitrate is at 0ppm you have unfortunately lost your cycle. You will need to remove your axolotl from the tank and put it in a tub with cool dechlorinated water.

When you cycled what did you use as your source of ammonia?
