I know that's principally newt, salamander, frog and toad forum, but in spite of that I'd like to show what can you expect form being there, just a beautiful place.

almost portrait :) (by the road to Etna)

whole profile of the same one (maybe, i've already forgotten what was photographed :p) (by the road to Etna)

bad quality, I know... some species of gecko. Hemidactylus turcicus or Tarentola mauritanica ( almost centre of Palermo)

a couple of geckos just next to the road and walking turists ( Vulcano island)

individual in Milazzo ( north Sicily) Milazzo is a small port near refinery

individual on Vulcano. This island is plenty of lizards and snakes, but snakes don't like to pose to the photo)
I recommend Sicily, cause I fall in love Aeolian islands and Palermo. Everybody in Europe (not only) should visit Italy, especially Sicily.

And now some pics

Queen Etna ( by the way they sell there tasty honey from almonds, pistachio)

view from ancient Greek theatre in Taormina

finally some creature near Panarea island

Thanks for attention

Even though i´m an enthusiast of reptiles, and i really like watching pics of them....i really don´t think this is the place for this post Ô_o As you can see the site is for caudates (with a small section for anurans) but not for reptiles. Not sure if the mods will apreciate your post (i did though....).

I knew that I was wrong, but even having that knowledge I put it here.
My apology.
So anyone knows some english site with "lacertidae". I couldn't find it, maybe I haven't looked for it properly.

For lizards, I would recommend the Field Herp Forum:
http://www.fieldherpforum.com/

I'll leave this post here for now, but we may decide to remove it in a few days. Thanks for thinking of us!

Neat pictures although amphibians is my interest here. The last picture the "some creature" looks to be a species of moray eel, I couldn't figure out what species because the head had to much blood over it.

It means that "sea monster" is a species of muraena. Maybe Muraena helena - Mediterranean moray.
I found it in Tyrhenian Sea, a part of Mediterranean Sea.
Never mind, I don't need that knowledge to be happy.
Thanks all of you.
