Hello everybody! How are you? I'm new to the forum. Okay my axolotl has been sick for going on two weeks now with a cotton-like fungus. I have been doing salt baths and tea baths and I have also been fridging him. It doesn't really seem to be helping in fact it's a very bad case of fungus on his tail especially it looks like he's about to lose his tail. I feel terrible unfortunately in the area that I live in there are no vets that deal with axolotls. What else can I do for him if anything?

use 3.5g/l non iodised salt in the tank (or tub if he is tubbed), do 10 min methyline blue (half fish dose) mixed with acriflavine (half fish dose)
although fungus affects the gills/filaments it sounds like he also has an infection for his tail to be affected as bad as you purport.
what are the water parameters?
