I was in a pet store the other day just having a look around until I seen this murky green/brown water with an axolotl in it, the tank was covered in faeces and broken down pellets, the tank was that bad that the glass was covered in planaria, I instantly made a complaint about the store and bought this axolotl to save it from a more than likely death occurrence, I brought him home put him in a container in the fridge 24 hours so I could make a new set up and let the dechlorination commence, to be honest I think the axolotl is dieing, he hasn't ate any food ,gills are short and forward, he dosnt move, flicks gill occasionally, has set in the same position for hours and would move once in like every 5 hours, I put him in with my other to axolotls to see if it was loneliness affecting him partially but he just sits in the dark spot and rest, I don't want to take him back out as I don't want to stress him.
Is there anything else I can do?
