I've had my axolotl for about 10 months now. When I first got her she was 2 - 3 inches with a few little problems (see lumpy tum thread). I'm assuming she's now about 14 months old but she's only 5 inches long. She's the sweetest little thing but her size worries me so much. She'll happily grow outwards, just not lengthways.
Any reasons you guys can think of?
Also, gills.
Her gills were fluffy to start with, but over the past month they've lost their fluffiness and are turning into stalks?
Can I fluff them up again? I'm assuming it's something to do with water quality.
WATER PARAMETERS:
nitrate: 20
nitrite: 0
ammonia: 0
ph: 8 with a high hardness
