I've had my apuanus for about three and a half years and I've noticed this summer that the group has cut down how much they eat.

The water temp holds pretty steady at about 19.5 celsius.

Has anyone else noticed this in their apuanus in the summer?

Mine are definitely eating more now than they do during the winter. They are kept between 18-20 celsius depending on the weather (it has been an unfortunately hot and brutal summer here). The females might be recuperating from all the egg laying they did in spring but the males have no excuse. My T. dobrogicus definitely seem to eat less this time of year though than when the temps are in the stable low 60s.
