So I need advice my Fire Belly Newt tank got snails in there that I've got from feeding them Bloodwarms and the Live plants. I've seen ways to control them on YouTube but before I do any of those wanted to ask what is the safest way for my newts to control the snails?

If you don't like snails the safest way is to manually remove the larger ones and let your newts eat the smaller ones.

Personally I just leave them in there.

Some will ;) You could try also floating some lettuce leaf in the tank, the snails will in theory merrily hop on to eat and then you can just remove the lettuce with the snails.

p.s I like to have snails in my tank as so far all my caudates do eat them.

I have snails in my newt tank. I put them in there with a lot of moss. There was a load of eggs in the moss, but my tank does not seem to be overrun by snails. The newts must eat them. I placed them in my tank to let them grow so I can treat mt blue lobsters. They love eating snails. Plus, they help keep the algae and detritus down in the tank.

I have both pond and red ramshorn snails in my newt tank, they help keep everything clean. I have not noticed any plant damage, plus I have seen the newts eat the small ones as well as the snails eggs. It's a win/win.

I'm more worried about if I leave the Newt eggs in the tank would the snails destroy them
