Sneezing?

Hello! I have a young eastern red-spotted eft and have recently noticed him occasionally doing an odd full-body twitch and shudder, usually accompanied by opening his mouth widely. He's acting totally normal otherwise, roaming his tank, hunting, eating, etc. I haven't changed anything in his tank recently. Is there anything that could explain this? Thanks.

Is it after eating? If so this may just be them swallowing

It's not always soon after feeding, but I know he doesn't always eat right after I feed him (he eats live insects, so he doesn't always catch and eat them right when I put them in his tank. This morning my partner saw the newt doing it before I I fed him though- he spent some time at his water dish, then climbed down and did the "sneeze" thing.
