A few herps from Georgia and Florida. This time will be selectively herps from Georgia, and to make it easier on myself to get these photos posted I will just post the photos, and people can ask if they don't know the species that will be posted. Here are the photos:

And some more photos from both Florida and Georgia. For those wondering as why these photos look slightly different from my older ones, is that while we were down in Florida I finally got a DSLR camera, and it makes everything so much better/easier. Here's the photos as promised:

I live in Georgia, I love going north into the mountains to look for herps. I mostly find Slimy, dusky, and two lined salamanders in the mountains... haven't seen much as far as snakes. I really need to start heading south to find the more exotic herps. It's just that i'm a lot closer to the north Georgia mountains than I am to Florida and the coast. My current goal is to find an Amphiuma, just don't have the free time to travel right now.

Great Finds and great photos :)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
