Hi everyone,

One of my new T. shanjing has a small sore on the top of his head. it dosnt really look like rot, but more of a small abrasion he probally got during shipping. The first day i got him he secreted a thick layer of milky white mucous over it which has since gone away. should i treat him with anything like H202 or neosporin to prevent infection or just make sure he is eating and wait for it to heal naturally.

my other 6 are doing pretty good, 4 of them ate within 12 hours of arriving but the others are still acclimating.

I would suggest getting the sore treated. When I have seen newly imported shanjing with sores on their bodies the sores usually would continue to expand unless medical treatment was sought. In the ones we treated at work peroxide and over the counter treatments did not work as these were usually the result of fungal and bacterial infections.
