S'phores !?

While cleaning the tank i believe i found two s'phores!
i dont have a picture of them, and if i took one i doubt it would help, the gravel vaccuum, well it doesnt look the same...

It was clear, cone shaped and at the top was a white thing...
think it was a s'phore?!
not sure if my female picked any up, she doesnt look very fat at the moment...so im not very sure about eggs.

i found half of another spermatophore and i found the rock that catherine swallowed when she was little!!

what a happy day it is!!

Yep thats a s'spore. You'll know within 48 hours if she took any up...there'll be eggs all over the shop!

Eggs everywhere!!! all over everything, she even put them on the snail!

YES!!!

i am so excited, this is my first batch!!!
i will leave catherine in there with them for a another day or so, let her finish up laying her eggs. I will take the boys out.

Q: how do you tell if they are infertile? becasue i want to remove them asap!

you will tell if they are bad.

it will not be a ball shape it will be sort of flattened and the outer bit will be grey

what about the perfectly round ones that are cloudy?

perfectly round ones that are cloudy are bad to. but you could always keep them in a separate tub just to make sure they are bad ones.
