I have an adult spotted salamander who went off food about a month ago. He has been unusually lethargic and secretive. He has always been super shy and hidden. Today I checked on him and his eyes were closed like he was sleeping. I have never seen this before. I heard a noise coming from him and it was like a squeak. He did this about 10-12 times. I covered him back up with his moss and let him be. I have had him for about a year and in that time the only thing I can remember is a month or two prior to him going off food I fed him a super worm without crushing its head. Could that have caused internal damage?
