A few days ago I woke up to an empty tank, with all the water on the floor. One of my Axolotls didn't survive the day. This morning I came out and the one that had been more active and I had the most hope of surviving seems to have ruptured its stomach. I'll try to get a picture when I can. The only thing I knew to do was fridge it. Has anyone ever had an axolotl survive this type of thing?

Hello there...I'm very sorry to hear about your loss:(

Are you sure that the aquarium isn't broken somewhere, because that would explain that water being drained onto the floor, and perhaps the rupture is actually a cut.

Either way, this little guy needs medical attention immediately. There may be a vet closer to you, but I did find this place online...Bird & Exotic Clinic, Seattle, Tracy Bennett, Daniel Lejnieks, DVM, Vet, Rabbit, Snake, Reptile, Rat, Ferret, Lizard, Washington

My thoughts are with you and your little lotl.

Sadly my little friend didn't survive. The drain was from a faulty pump, i have the issue fixed and the tank is holding water. I did take a picture this morning just because it is the strangest thing. It didn't happen until two days after the drained tank.
