Yesterday morning I noticed these strange sores on the side of my ~6 month old axolotl after a water change the night before. She seems to be floating head up, no appetite. I was afraid there was something in the water the conditioner (Seachem Prime) didn’t treat correctly so I have had her tubbed since yesterday. Middle left gill looks damaged too. My concern is that the sores got larger overnight even though she has been tubbed with clean water. I have IAL on hand and am thinking about fridging her but wanted to get some expert advice here. Before her last feeding and water change 3 days ago she was totally fine and water parameters were normal. Tank has been up and running for a few months now, was properly cycled and has live plants. After I removed her from the tank I tested the water and there was a slight ammonia reading.

Tub water is ~7 pH, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, ~5ppm nitrate and I have been changing it every 12 hours.

Last water change I noticed specks in the old water that seem to be skin pieces falling off? Really looking for help as I haven't seen anything similar in searches, thank you so much!

Looks like lymphocystosis, a virus disease well-known on aquarium fishes
But I'm not sure this virus can pass on caudates
