Ive had squidy now for 6 months and got him when he was about 4 months old. When i got him he was 13cm from tip to tail and has only grown a few cm since i got him. He is now aprox. 15cm. Isnt this the time when they get thier growth spurts. Even the new babies i got now are the same size as him and they're 4 months old!! Anyone got a answear to this. ANd yes i feed him alot with worms, crickets, pellets, prawns, fish etc.

Around 6-12 months of age, their growth slows significantly as they reach adult age. They'll continue growing very slowly throughout their life. It's not unusual to have small axolotls if they were kept in poor conditions early in life.

Do different colours grow to different sizes? I'm guessing wildtypes are going to get biggest? Leuistics don't seem as big and golden albinos always seem tiny?

I swear my wildtype has fattened up in the week or two I've had her, but my leuistic seems scrawny.

i think they all grow the same but im not too sure. my wild type is a lot smaller than my leuistics.

Our wildtypes look huge compared to our leucs and they get fed same amt, there's a good 3cm diff between them - they seem to have grown higher (bottom of stomach to top fin) as well as longer

My golden and wildtype were the same size when l got them, the golden now towers over the wildtype. Everything is noticably bigger on the golden. His head, length and hes even chubbier - even though they are fed the same amount.
They were the same size, now it seems only the golden is growing. I suppose it just depends on the axie. Unless their is actual proof that wildtypes are bigger. In that case... i might have a dwarfed wildtype hahahaha

I have noticed that the golden is alot LESS skitish then the wildtype. Its like he doesnt have a care in the world

The wildtype has always been worse then the golden (re stressed times)... So maybe.. its also got something to do with stress aswell... just a thought.
