T. Cristatus UK guidelines for captive (CB) animals

I have a breeding group of adults of T. Cristatus originally from Charles Snell's group. They will probably end up laying a lot of eggs of which I will raise a lot of larvae. What I'd like to know, is, if I wanted to sell a small number of juveniles later this year or early next year what do I have to do? Bare in mind, these are fully legal captive bred newts from Originally from Charles Snell who is known to Natural England.

Yeah, I know that!! I mean what paperwork etc do I need, since they are a native species.

You don't have to do anything special, there's no need for any licenses etc to sell captive-bred cresteds.

If you advertise them, I'd advise stating that they are captive bred, and give details of their origin.

In the case of any police interest (very unlikely), you'd be expected to prove that they're captive bred- so you should keep copies of all correspondence with Charles Snell.
