T. verrucosus not shedding properly

Not quite sure what to think of it. Two of my verrucosus are shedding in flakes. Their eyes seem clouded from failing to shed properly.
They're also making some weird sounds when opening and closing their mouth.

I have moved them to a smaller clean setup (aquatic). And to a place with more daylight. The living room is pretty dark these days trying to keep the sun and the heat outside.

Sometimes Tylos move quickly.. from a failed shedding of skin, to a stiff in the water 48 hours later. I took the "dead" animal out and placed it in a small container. After all, you never know with Tylos.
Lo and behold, after 30 minutes it raised its head. I'll be keeping it on land until it's well again.

It even walked this afternoon and looked quite lively, only to die "again" this evening. This time it seems a permanent thing. If you wonder what could be worse than losing a newt.. losing it twice in one day seems to qualify.

I'm truly sorry, Ester

Fingers crossed for the other two.

Ester, I wish I could give you some advice, but this seems to be my 'problem' species too.
