Tail removal?

From my readings I understand that the Axolotl can grow new limbs... but can they 'drop and regrow' their tails like some lizards?

I don't think so, because their tail is used for swimming.

Axolotls do not have a break point in their tails, (unlike some lizards) and do not drop their tails however badly frightened.

However if they loose a chunk of tail through a bite or other injury they regenerate a new one, usually near perfectly.

I really dont want to sound rude but, why do you want to know. Did your Axie lose some of its tail.
