Tank set up help plz

Here is a pic of my old set up before i changed it around.

Now heres a pic of my new tank that a made for the nice pair so they can have a happy life together.

DO you guys like the tank change and is it good for my axies? and dont worry about the substrat in the new tank they eat from my hands and have never eaten a pebble etc. The old tank had large pebbles 1-1.5 inch and i found it was hard to clean and stressed my axie so i got new substrate, black sand mixed with i think black finely crushed marble. WHat you think?

I think it´s good , but I will advise to remove the thermometer from there cause it might brake and it´s very toxic, and I think that your tank does not seem that it is on a very stable place , it looks like it will probably fall one day, and you don´t want that.

na i think its alright how it is, i have never had it break and i droped it 4 times, lol. thanks for the advice though.

Thought I'de Just let ya know that the pebbles you have in your old tank....well I just picked my axy up from the vet this arvo with one that size stuck in her mouth...it was one of those acrylic ice rocks around 5.5 cm across my what a big mouth you have....

thats quite a big piece of rock if that was stuck in her mouth. Im assuming the vet got it out?
