I've been spamming this website with questions the past week, but want to make sure I'm doing things right for the newts.
Basically, what would you say is the maximum number of N. crocatus or I. alpestris apuanas you could house in a 24"x12"x16" (20 gal) or a 36"x18"x16" (40 gal).
Personally I'd say 3-4 alpestris or 2-3 crocatus in the 20 gal, and 6-7 alpestris or 4-5 crocatus in the 40 gal. I ask because I'll most likely get a 20 gal, and don't want to overcrowd the tank with newts.
