Tank size too big?

Hello! I’m getting an axolotl in the future and I’m buying a tank. Can I get a tank too big? One of my friends has a 55 gallon tank he isn’t using anymore and is willing to sell it to me for a cheap price. Is 55 gallons too big for one axolotl? Will he get stressed out by too much space?

Bigger tanks mean less having to clean and more enjoyment. 55gal is fine for one axolotl.
