Hello to all, I have a doubt of some of my newts, do not have very clearly if it is torosa or granular, when I received them, one fixes that the low eyelid was mas darkly that other two newts.

The seller said to me, which there are populations of taricha torosa with the low eyelid dark mas, but that it was sure that it was torosa.

I could not have seen the teeth vomerianos, have 3 in 120 liters.

A greeting.

Does anyone have an opinion?

It's really hard to tell, even the eyes are not definitive. I think you can only be sure on autopsy or something like that.

You can tell by the vomerine tooth, but still, not yawn in my presence, did it once but I was not looking at me.

I am about 99% sure that what you have there are Taricha granulosa. The low set eyes, color, size, and many more features give it away. I breed Taricha torosa and they look much different in my eyes.
