Termites

Does anybody know of a good cheap source for termites for Plethodon food? I could field collect them, but I never know what they've been in.

Hi Greg, I don't know of anybody online who offers termites. I've cultured them myself before, it's pretty easy. There's some info here:

I didn't use "dampwood termites", just an unidentified local species. It seems that if you manage to at least get some eggs, the termites will realize a queen is absent and one of the eggs will be hormonally induced to become the queen. Good luck.
