Hello everyone, I live in Florida and do not have a basement, do any of you know ways to cool down aquatic setups and terrestrial setup? It can sometimes get up to 85 degrees inside.

Just spend the $100 and buy a window air conditioner from Walmart. How you live in Florida already without one is crazy.

If I were to use aquarium fans for a terrestrial setup how many would I need to keep it at about 64-68 degrees farenheight if possible.

You must have ac in fl you would die. I lived in palm harbor fl for 12 years everyone everywhere had ac . But if you dont keep your house cool . You might want to get some peninsula newts they can take higher temps. For know close all windows curtains and doors where you keep them. I have one usb articfan on a tan gallon it never goes over 70f. But my ac kicks on at 75f during the day at night 70f:happy:. I dont know how you make it in fl without central air. I cant live without it in mn but window ac starting around $100 or chillers starting around $200.

Probably depending on humidity light/sun. I found a chart that said at 40f wind chill is 18 but water won't freeze. When it's cold here they say FEEL LIKE with wind chill.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
