AW: The firesalamanders in southern Germany need your help

Hi,
here are some pictures from the habitat. It is very sad what they have done with this Amphibian paradise. I hope we can make a difference with your help.

Hi you all,
i want to give you a short summary in english about what is going on here in germany: The town Reutlingen is planning to destroy a unique habitat of the Fire Salamander with a population of estimated 10000 (ten thousand, no mistake) S,salamandra terrestris and also a good population of the endangered Fire-bellied Toad (Bombina variegata) by filling it with earth (Our state Baden-Wuerttemberg in south-west Germany has a crucial importance for the yellow-bellied toad because we are in the center of its distribution area here). .
It would be great if as many people would sign the letter to the german authorities - and it would be especially good if the Mayor of Reutlingen had to realize that the whole world, from Europe over to USA, Canada and Australia is aware that Reutlingen and Baden-Wuerttemberg are in danger to become known for the useless destruction (there are alternatives) of a unique amphibian habitat.
So please help us by signing the letter and telling it your friends via Facebook! Let us fill the mailboxes of Reutlingen`s Mayor and of the green Prime Minister of Baden-Wuerttemberg!
Thank you, Olaf
