the willdtype is Antonio, Proud father, hes not exactly the brightest. The leucy is Catherine Shes a Mom, very beautiful and smart! And the little gold is their adopted son/daughter. Im not sure if its a boy or a girl, Its toes are black but it doesnt look like a boy or a girl! Well he is very fiesty, hes kinda small too, I dont expect him to get as big as antonio, but i still love him!

Very nice Heather. Antonio has a very nice pattern to him. They are all very attractive animals.

you look at their cloaca (bum just behind the back legs).the male has a swollen cloaca and the females isnt. if you cant tell then they may not be sexually mature yet or they might both be the same. if you have a pic of their cloacal region aka their sexy bits then im sure the guys on here would be kind enough to help you.

good look in identifying and send back the results!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
