My axolotl's tail has gone clear at the end. I will post a picture to help you to understand my problem. I am wondering if I need to provide treatment or if time and monitoring will heal this issue?
Dante, my axolotl, has never shown any signs of stress that I am aware of such as curled gills or tail and I monitor him/her regularly and refer to these forums for guidance when I notice behavioural changes however I haven't managed to find an answer to this question among the forums so I thought I would ask as it has me worried.
I have recently been quite busy and I admit I neglected to clean his tank as often as I should which I believe to be the cause of this issue
.
The tail is not curled at the end, nor have his gills changed but the tip of his tail has gone clear. I have since cleaned the tank thoroughly and he is behaving quite normally, eating and following me around the tank as he always does.
Is anyone able to provide a diagnosis and advice on how to proceed?
Thank you in advance.
