Question: Tiles safe?

I just bought these tiles at Lowe's. The guy I spoke to said they would be fine for my tank but I am here to ask the actual axolotl tank experts. Are these tiles safe?

I'm not sure it's glue, but there is something on the back.

How do I know if they are leaching or causing problems? I really don't want to hurt my future axies. Can anyone tell me if these tiles are safe?

You can take them to an aquarium store and ask about the chemicals in the glue to see if it will cause water problems.

If it's dangerous you could always cover the back with a layer of aquarium silicone.
