After 6 months of captivity and lots of love (Caught in late September), "Peeps" the Spring Peeper (Pseudacris crucifer) is going free today to breed. I released his roommates, 3 Boreal Chorus Frogs (Pseudacris maculata) over a month ago. Peepers seem to breed about the same time the Gray Tree Frogs start to sing. He'll go to a nice, remote breeding pond to live out his life. He was a good little guest and well loved. Good luck, Monsieur Peeps!
