Triturus Alpestris

For triturus alpestris, should I create a hlf/half terrarium for aquatic faze, or just have protruding rocks and move them to terrestrial setup when they leave the water. (I have a 3 foot tank) I thought I would just have a rock slab balanced on up turned bricks. If I did a half/half setup, it would just be a heap of gravel behind a wall of bricks with moss all over it. Would that cause fungel infection?

just a note: fugus causes fungal infections, not gravel, bricks, and moss.... fungus can grow on these if not kept clean

That's what I meant - I thought that dirt could build up in the gravel and cause infections. Anywho, I have now changed the setup to slate balanced on bricks.
