Even the greyish one has the cool looking spotting. Wonder if anyone else has any with that coloration?

The young male is really cresting up now:

Adult male and gravid female:

The female(s) laid about 9 eggs over two days and stopped, its kinda wierd. They seem to be fertile. The young male is cresting up a lot more than the adult male, which is also odd. I love the spotting on the young male's tail. He is very stunning to me with his big crest.

I do not know why but after reading this topic I got the urge to have a T.dobrogicus!
What you said Yahilles was fun, but if you'd like to know the axolotl is that they are as larvae. For these already even in adults keep the aspect of larva, from life without giving the metamorphosis, and that due to any genetic factors that currently do not know specify. If the subject interested you can always search on google Where there was a metamorphosis in axolotl, the one you'll find is similar salamander to other Ambystoma!

WoW nice!! Today my first eggs of Dobro hatched! Just in thinking i will got such "axolotl" Nice! I am really hoping to have soon such a incredible creature!! Nicely done! those might have such a source of bloodworms!!

Overnight, they laid about 5-10 more eggs so now they are really going. I say they because I dont know if both are laying eggs. I know one is.

yyy why do you think i didn't know these? I'm not new in caudates and neoteny in axolotl is just like obvious to know for everybody interested in tailed-amphibians, i was just joking because larva from pictures looks so big :dizzy:

Lusiwarrior probably doesnt know you well Yahilles. I dont think it was meant to offend you. The larvae is about 2-2.5 inches right now.

Mine morph at 3-4.5 inches long. Usually around 3.5-4 inches. I would say in a month it should morph.

Well my marbled with their size would morph now. Morphing that big is even more cool. It means they morph as big as carnifex

I guessed the size wrong on my largest larvae, it is a little over 3 inches, no signs of morphing. I think he will morph around 4 inches.
