What did you use for them to lay eggs on? It looks like plastic bags with a stone in it, is that correct?

Very beautiful animals, too!

Plastic strips are a common method use by many hobbyists. Not all animals will use them though. However if a particular female decides it is a suitable place to lay, then it´s a very useful method. It eliminates the need to cut plant portions to take out the eggs, and allows you to easily find all eggs and see their state of development.
Not all plastics are suitable, and each individual female might prefer particular types of plastic, or even colours(just the same way as they prefer particular plants).
Here is a link that shows how to make this useful strips:

Yes they are plastic zip-lock baggies cut with a rock rubberbanded to them. My dobros are only 1 year old and have layed at least 350 eggs so far. I have two females.

I like the way you made your egg strips. I like the shot of the egg at the cloaca, very timely.

I have 6 females from the same batch as yours and they must have laid around 2,000 so far and don't show signs of stopping! The eggs from the yearlings are MUCH smaller than those of my older female. Good luck raising all of the larvae;)
