Uploading profile picture

I tried to upload a picture as both jpeg and gif but the server didn't accept. I was on a mac in my lab. The error message was something like this
"wrong filetype: machine-x" both times. Any tips?

Btw how big filesize is allowed as profile pic?

There are no file size restrictions, but it has to be under 151x151 pixels. It looks to me like the mime type declared by your browser is incorrect (i.e. it's not telling the web site what sort of file it is). Try using another computer and/or a recent browser version.

Yeah, I figured I would want to use another computer too, the problem being that there were no easy way of moving a file that big....
I used the scanner linked to the computer that didn't work... I'll install a zipdrive now though.
