I have kept a mated pair of axies for two years and out of the blue, my male bit the rear leg and tail tip off of the female. Obviously, I separated them until her limb regenerated and was actually not planning on putting them back together until my male looked as though he was suffering ammonia burn. I put him back into her tank just for the night so I could test the water and when I woke up she looked like she had been through a paper shredder. She's always been somewhat frail and sickly in appearance, especially in comparison to my very healthy male, and I just need advice from here. I currently have her in the fridge in water treated with pimafix and melafix in very modest dosage. She honestly looks to be on the brink of death but my local exotic vet is currently closed and I'm not sure what to do - I just don't want her to suffer
