Can axolotls and other amphibians catch anchor worms? Please help, this is an urgent question. I've found it in some feeder guppies I give as treats to my axies and they may have consumed some!

Re: Archer worms

Yes. They can get anchor worms.

I just noticed that the guppies I have been feeding my axolotls for treats and habitat inrichment have anchor worms. I know guppies aren't the best thing to be feeding, but my axie seem to really like to hunt them.I feed them red earth worms every day as a staple diet. Anyway to get back to the point, they may have eaten a guppie that was infested. Should I treat the tank emidiatly or are my axie safe? Can amphibians catch anchor worms? I know eather way I'll be switching to gost shimp to keep my axies intertaned.

Re: Archer worms

What is the best medication to use?

Wouldn't the axolotl be safe if it ate the worms? I mean, so long as there aren't any uneaten ones lurking about.

Paul, how about raising your own guppies, starting with healthy stock? Guppies are fun and easy fish to breed...
