Video Neurus Laying Eggs

lilsnoop you notice it more at the beginning of the video, the axolotl has deposited small white eggs over the top of the tunnel, well i hope i'm right anyway or else i need to get my eyes tested.
 
Your tank looks REALLY small, and there don't seem to be any hiding places other than the 'log' (which, if is wood, will eventually rot).
 
Thanks for the video. It's a great perspective for those of us that have only read about the act.

I don't see enough of the tank to comment on the size, my only critique would be that it's unfortunate that she was behind the log for so much of the event. Perhaps, a little camera shy.

The tank is plenty big enough. Could i just ask from your opinion how big does my tank look to you? Secondly the log is made of resin that is made specifically for that purpose and it is not the only hide in the tank, there is a cave and also a very large fake plant that goes over the top of the water at the other side of the tank.
 
to me your tank looks like a 3 footer, i wouldnt have said it looks small.... going back along the log it looks more than the length of an axie which to me points at about 30cm and height i would guess25-30 cm. you only shot the video at one corner so it may seem small to others..... its how we view our axies so i didnt notice what the others thought they saw.

Thankyou, its just somebody on here always seems to pick at everything, usually without actually taking any time to realise the facts. I have watched the video again and yes you are right, it only shows one side of the tank and it is clearly longer than the axies (Kiro the melanoid black one is 14" long") and there are clearly more than 1 hide in the tank.
It is difficult filming the laying process as they will scoot off if they see the camera, or anything for that matter. I am very lucky that Neurus is extremely tame
 
My son was watching your video and now hes paranoid that he thinks my girls is getting ready to lay eggs (i wish), It has been very helpfull for him to see that process. Hes gone to carnarvon for a week now so I have the axie watching duty, not that i wasnt doing that anyway...
Some peole will jump in and nitpick, some will speak their minds, just take the advice that you feel relates to you, tis what i do....
