VIETNAM NEWS AGENCY (Hanoi) 08 May 06 Rare newt species discovered in Viet Nam
Phu Tho (VNA): Two individuals of a rare newt species have been found for the first time at an altitude of 1,156 m at the Xuan Son National Park, midland Phu Tho province of northern Viet Nam.
Experts identified the species' scientific name as tylototriton vietnamensis sp.n., belonging to the Tylototriton newt genus of the Salamandridae family.
It is similar to a new species reported in Germany's Salamandra magazine in November last year.

Thanks for pointing that one out.

Mind if I move this thread to the species discussion pertaining to Tylototriton to elicit further discussion after it plays out here?
