Half of my breeders have laid there first clutches of eggs for the year. I think it's important to do a big water change after the eggs are collected and be certain filters aren't clogged. I've noticed frothy water in tanks and filters from the extra protein in the water from egg laying. This extra organic mater can cause problems in water quality that cause health problems with adult axolotls. My axys are off to a great start for the season. I should produce 5 types of axolotls this year with some variation especially in the wild and melanoid types.

Please put me on the list for a black one if you get one!

Hi Cynthia,
I expect I'll have a couple hundred ready in 3 or 4months. My one mating was between a melanoid and a leucistic that have the same parents. In a couple weeks I have a black pair I'm going to put together. I don't keep a waiting list. Just check with me around early April.
