it would depend what it took out. Axies need some of the components of tap water (calcium and things like that I think). Its better sticking with the tap water. Cant think of exactly all the things axies need in the water atm but I know that they dont mind harder water. A purifier will take out all the good with the bad. So long as u use dechlorinator it should be right. Sorry if I havent worded it well, my brain is scattered.
