Waterfalls are fun for newts!

Look how happy she is in her waterfall!!

I used a small filter designed to work with the water at the top of the tank and put an extra piece of tube on it so it would be in the water. I had to put a little bit more water in beacuse the motor isn't very powerful. Since I installed it, the newt has spent a great deal more time in the water. I think the water looks really cool in the pictures, looks like ice sometimes.

Great setup!!! I have a filter like this and he is with no use....until now!! I will try to do a waterfall too... lets see what my newts say of this!

I was lucky to get an extra piece with my filter as it was a gift, you may need to get creative with some small pipeing and sealent. I just used another intake pipe, but a regular peice of plastic pipe or tube would work just fine.

Jeff, can you show a photo of this tank, with lid on, from above? I'm curious how you sealed the area around the filter.
